I've never really told anyone why I take photographs, some say pictures are worth 1000 words, but honestly to me they're worth even more, they're priceless memories that remind me of the most insignificant shred of happiness. That looking at that picture, I can remember the whole day. For better or for worse, my photography is literally the viewfinder into my soul. Every picture is a novel, which you find out something new every time you read, a detail you missed, and are glad you realized was there. Planned out shots, snap shots, or even accidental actuations of your shutter are all stamps on a never ending flow of live action frames. The world to me is a singular massive flow of constant pictures, cameras and lenses at every single angle: capturing it all in the minds of the living and in the remains of the dead. To lose my eyesight would in my own heart be a fate worse than death. The thought that’d I’d never capture an image again would rip my soul to shreds; it’s simply not an option. There are those born to be saints and there are those born to be demons, then there are those born to be historians. Unbiased creatures, as if put on this planet for no other reason to record the majesty of life and have the drive to spread happiness and smite sadness from the hearts of anyone and hold on the terrible emotions in a single still frame. Our job is to have the world bear witness to the single omnipotent truth that the word ugly is an archaic and worthless abomination of letters that should and must be forgotten. I’ve never seen an ugly thing in my life, I couldn’t define ugly if you told me to. I’ve only seen bad lighting.

I must imagine that all these seem as if nonsensical ramblings of a mad man, someone who believes that photography is this supposedly pure art form that is magical and brings pure delight. A paper written by a mad man, it is how a paper should be written; passionate and filled with the zealous reflections on life that only those truly dedicated to their art form posses.
